Cub Scout Neckerchief Slide

All of the proceeds from the sale of scouting items go to support the activities of my cub scout den.

I am a cub scout den leader and we've had a lot of parent frustration with the default slides as they never seem to stay on or are hard to get off once you press down the tabs. As tigers, our den lost over a dozen slides. I designed the wolf slide for my den to start off last year better. They turned out to be a huge hit in our den and pack. My den tested the slide design through live use for a year and we didn't have any lost or broken.

My newest addition is this slide that uses the cub scout logo so it isn't year group specific. In the photo it's been placed on my 'Cub Scout Leader' neckerchief. It uses the same tried and tested slide portion as the wolf and bear slides. The wolf head is the same style as the wolf slide, but for this color combination it has a dark gray base with dark blue highlights. The eyes and nose are black.

The slot that's used to hold the neckerchief has been carefully designed to both stay on when you need, but also be removable when you want. The slide is made of three parts that are primed, painted by airbrush, then detailed by hand and finally clear coated and assembled. All of the components are made from 3D-Printed PLA plastic.

I designed the slide and I have a commercial license for the bear head. These are handmade by me in the USA.

I am a cub scout den leader for my son, and my wife is a girl scout troop leader for our daughter. We've been involved in both programs since our kids were kindergarteners and strongly support the programs. I was a cub scout all the way up to earning Eagle as a kid myself, and I see participation as an an adult as an opportunity to pay it forward to the new generation.
